125 gambling machines with an estimated value of up to PLN 1,500,000 were secured by criminals from the Police Station in Dobrodzień and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Opole. Illegal devices were stored in the house and adjacent farm buildings in one of the properties of the Oleski county.
Investigators suspect that this area could also be used to service unlawful devices. Now officers of the Opole Customs-Fiscal Office deal with this matter. The possession of illegal gaming machines is subject to a high fine and imprisonment of up to 3 years.
Investigation officers from the police station in Dobrodzień tracked the premises where gambling machines could be stored. To confirm their suspicions, the police officers prepared to search the selected rooms. It was a single-family house and adjacent buildings in one of the properties of the Oleski county.
On October 1st, 2018, officers from the Dobodzień police station together with police officers from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Opole and the officers of the Customs and Tax Office, confirmed their assumptions. It turned out that 125 working gambling machines were hidden inside the house and in the adjacent farm buildings. In addition, the officers found dozens of incomplete devices, few computers and many other electronic components. Secured computers could also be used to upload software for illegal gambling.
The value of secured machines is estimated at PLN 1,500,000. Investigators suspect that on the premises of the searched area, the servicing of illegal devices could take place. The police also established the identity of people who may be involved in this crime. Now officers of the Tax Office in Opole are dealing with this matter. Illegal possession of gaming machines is subject to severe financial penalty and imprisonment of up to 3 years. The matter is in development.
