Aleksey Badulin wins WPT Russia Main Event for $261,571

Aleksey Badulin scooped the richest prize of his life yesterday in Sochi when he won the WPT Russia Main Event, the $261,571 first prize more than 4 times his total career earnings, reports HighstakesDB.

The tournament, in conjunction with partypoker LIVE, saw 489 entries at the Casino Sochi resort on the Black Sea, with 12 players remaining as the final day’s play got underway.Badulin told WPT reporters he was “really happy” with his win – a $261,571 cash and season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions seat.
