Fixed matches organizers arrested in Belarus

Members of an international criminal group engaged in match-fixing were detained this January in Minsk and Mogilev by the police service of Belarus. The information was published on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

“It has been established that the group organized and conducted fixed matches in various team sports, such as football, volleyball, etc. They placed bets using betting services of the bookmakers in Western Europe and Asia.” the Ministry press service reports.

Three suspects have been already arrested and charged with fraud according to Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. Police takes measures to identify all participants of the criminal group.
