The bill No. 2285-d “On state regulation of the organization and conduct of gambling” has finally passed the second reading in the Parliament. 248 Ukrainian MPs voted for this version of the document.
The following activities are allowed: casinos, online casinos, bookmakers, slot machines, lotteries, online poker. To operate such, a business must obtain a license. Slot machine halls are allowed to be installed only in hotels that have three, four or five stars.
Previously, the parliamentary committee on finance and customs policy approved the bill and recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt the document. The government expects the industry will fund the budget with $170 million annually.
