The Handball Federation of Russia (HFR) has entered into a partnership agreement with the betting company Parimatch. The agreement between the HFR and the bookmaker is designed for two years with the possibility of extension. In accordance with the contract, the handball super league gets a new name – Super Liga Parimatch. The sponsor’s logo will also appear on the Russian national team uniform.
“For the first time in its history, the Super League receives a title sponsor and a commercial name. On the one hand, this is an indicator of growing interest in handball, and on the other, a great opportunity for further development,” said Lev Voronin, Director General of the Federal State Statistics Service.
“We don’t want to become partners and just stay in the logo. It is important for us that handball becomes even more popular. We will help the federation and clubs to develop and increase media coverage. We also have an agreement to increase the number of broadcasts of Super League matches and improve their quality,” said Sergey Sergeev, CEO of Pariymatch in Russia.
