Lithuania’s Gambling Supervisory Authority has fined UAB Baltic Bet for 12,450 EUR. According to the official statement the operator has broken Lithianian gambling regulations via offering incorrect odds and failing to place sufficient limits on bets.
The regular has also issued a warning to the operator. Thus, the company is warned about the possible violation of the betting licence and is obliged to prevent and eliminate the violation in the future withing the set period of time.
This is already the second fine which Lithuania’s gambling watchdog has imposed on local gambling operatoors this autumn. Unigames was fined for 10,814 EUR in September for allowing players to create multiple bets on single events.
It is worth mentioning that, Lithuania is considering changes to its gaming legislation. The changes would allow operators apply for online gambling licenses only. Previously online gambling was allowed only to operators who offered land based gambling services. Thus online gambling brands had to cooperate with local offline operators.
