Successful presentation at the Irish Gaming Show Considered one of the most important Irish trade fairs showcasing the world of gaming, the Irish Gaming Show took place in Dublin from 6–7 March. Merkur Gaming was there for the second year in a row and can look back on two rewarding exhibition days and a highly successful product launch.
Following on from the hugely popular response to the market introduction of the Merkurstar at last year’s show, the Gauselmann Group teamed up with FunFair Amusements as official distributor and within just 12 short months had installed over 100 machines in the Irish market. At this year’s Irish Gaming Show, Merkur Gaming presented the Evostar, which combines the ergonomic aspects and player comfort of a slant top with the typical characteristics of an upright cabinet. Taking playing comfort one step further, the Evostar also has an integrated USB port so players can charge their mobile phone. Coupled with the latest Merkur Gaming software featuring more than 100 games, the Evostar offers maximum comfort, entertainment and variety.
Summing up the two-day event, Markus Wessler, Sales Director Merkur Gaming, says:
“Ireland is a key growth market for Merkur Gaming and even after just a few months we are already making very successful inroads. This has prompted us to increase our presence at the Irish Gaming Show this year, which – if the renewed positive visitor feedback is anything to go by – was the right decision.”
Philip O’Leary, Managing Director of FunFair Amusements Limited, was also enthusiastic about the collaboration with Merkur Gaming:
“The partnership with an international group of Gauselmann’s standing means a lot to FunFair Amusements. The past year has already shown that Merkur Gaming’s product portfolio ideally complements our own and has met with keen interest on the Irish market. If anything, we are hoping to top this with the Evostar product launch.”
