Mikalai Pobal has won 2019 EPT Prague, and earned his second EPT championship. Mikalai Pobal wins 2019 EPT Prague for €1 million. Mikalai Pobal was the best at the €5,300 EPT Prague Main Event on last week, becoming just the second player to win an EPT Main Event for a second time.
In winning the tournament, Pobal defeated Norbert Szecsi (€598,880) heads-up along with a field of 1,154 entries over six plays. For the victory, Pobal takes home a €1,005,600 first-place prize. Also present at the final table were Richard Da Rocha (€421,450), Gaby Livshitz (€316,780) and Tomas Paiva (€241,230).
Pobal’s previous European Poker Tour win came during the 2012 EPT Barcelona Main Event. In that event, he also took home a prize of just over €1 million – €1,007,550. Those two victories have accounted for the vast majority of Pobal’s live tournament winnings. Mikalai is currently 16th in GPI ranking 2019 for Belarus.
