Fortuna Entertainment Group is planning to open 80 new points in 2019 to increase the network to a total of about 700 points, Fortuna Zakłady Bukmacherskie president Konrad Komarczuk informed.
We are planning to open 80 new outlets to a total of approximately 700 in Poland in 2019 – informed Komarczuk during a meeting with journalists.
He added that the ban on Sunday trading had a negative impact on some of the chain points located in retail parks that had hitherto achieved good results.
As a result, we systematically move them from commercial outlets closed on Sunday, because the ban on trade on this day does not apply to us – indicated the president.
He noted that the operator does not offer live bets on his fixed-line network, and yet “makes the biggest sale in Poland”. Therefore, he believes that it is “deep sense” in developing a fixed-line network in parallel to the development of online bets.
We will launch a new IT platform in the first half of 2019 and live bets will appear in our points then – said Komarczuk.
The president is satisfied with the results for Q1-3 2018 so far, and the “end of the year even more dynamic”.
Of course, online business is growing dramatically faster than the ground based network, and the fastest mobile segment, thanks especially to live betting – he pointed out.
Komarczuk said Fortuna’s business dynamics in Poland reflect data such as the comparison between the 2018 World Cup and the Euro 2016. In Poland, during these two sporting events, Fortuna recorded, among others, lfl increase by 100% in ground based points, as well as a 123% increase in the number of active players.
Fortuna is also satisfied with the results of its previous sponsoring activities. This year, the company became the titular sponsor of the first football league, and also took patronage of Polish ski jumping.
Ski jumping is the complement to our product and sponsoring offer. It’s hard to ignore the fact that the 4-Hills-Tournament is the most-watched winter event. We changed our product to jumps and recorded a 74% increase in the sales of January-November 2018. In 2019, we plan active collaboration and activities increasing the volume of our business. Our activity in e-sport is very promising. We support the AGO group and plan to develop in this segment, because its importance will grow significantly in the future. We are also counting on the announcement of a new sponsorship at the turn of the year “- summed up the president.
