Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation are planning to adopt the law on the regulation of cryptocurrencies by the end of this February. This information was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov.
In late December, the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that consideration of a package of bills on regulation of the crypto currencies is a priority task for the Russian government and will not be postponed.
During TASS press conference Anatoly Aksakov said that now the bill on digital financial assets is under negotiation. It is planned to be considered at the same time and in conjunction with the laws on crowd funding and investment platforms. Aksakov also noted that this is likely to happen in February.
The new legislative document will provide a definition for digital financial instruments, namely crypto currencies and tokens. The bill also introduces rules for launching smart contracts, as well as describes the obligations of parties using digital technologies.
