Russian tourists spend millions on gambling abroad

Representatives of Sberbank have carried out a research to analyze the expenses made by tourists from Russia on foreign resorts.

The study showed that a large part of expenses accounted for gambling. Thus, Russians who prefer to spend their holidays in Monte Carlo, spend about 28.8% of their holiday budget for games in casino. The 39-year-old player from St. Petersbur was able to set a record after spending 33.3 million rubles in a gambling establishment in just one evening.

According to the results of the study, the most popular destinations for Russians are Spain, Turkey and Italy. The most expensive resorts for Russian citizens are French Polynesia and Monaco, where Russians spend 168 thousand rubles per holiday.
