The first landbased casinos in Ukraine received licenses

The Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) has issued the first two licenses for opening landbased casinos in hotels. They will appear in Lviv and Odessa. The Premium company received a license to open a casino in the Gagarinn hotel in Odessa. The total area of the gaming halls will be over 4000 sq. m.

Nebula Games has also received a license. The casino will open at the Grand Hotel Lviv. Now, for the final approval and entry into the register, companies must pay a license fee.

At the same time, the commission refused to issue license for the Lord gambling club in Kiev. KRAIL was unable to clearly identify the origin of the company’s charter capital money. For the same reason, Slots.Yu.Ey company was refused, which wanted to open an online casino.

It is worth mentioning, that in March, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries granted license to the Parimatch company, the first sports betting license in Ukraine. The first online casino license was issued by Spaceix LLC back in early February.

In KRAIL, they say that in general, they have already received 201 UAH hryvnia from license fees to the budget.
