Ukrainian government plans to increase the state budget by 7.5 billion hryvnias (220 million EUR) due to fees for casino and lottery licenses.
In the draft state budget for 2021, which has been finalized for the second reading, the government proposes to add gambling licence fees to the sources of the state budget. This is stated in the draft state budget-2021 for the second reading, published on the official website of the Ukrainian parliament.
“To establish that the sources of formation of the special fund of the state budget of Ukraine for 2021 are the following revenues: fees for licenses allowing activities in the field of organizing and conducting gambling and licenses for issuing and conducting lotteries,” the document reads. .
The Cabinet of Ministers expects to receive UAH 7.443 billion from the special fund of the state budget next year as a result of gambling license fees. Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the legalization of the gambling business will bring Ukraine 5 billion hryvnias in 2021.
