Ukraine expects to receive 763 million UAH from gambling in 2022

Ukraine has published the draft project of the state budget for 2022 and the document contains forecasts for the gambling business payments. According to the draft law, 763 million UAH (about 30 million USD) will have to go to the state budget of the country in the form of license fees from gambling operators.

The project also provides for the formation of a special state fund and the budget of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL), which will amount to UAH 107,186,000. At the same time, the salary fund of KRAIL will amount to UAH 76.4 million.

Additionally, the state budget included the tax on income from slot machines. It is worth noting, that the Gambling Commission had already collected license fees in the amount of almost UAH 1.2 billion.

In addition to royalties and taxes directly from the gambling sector, the authorities also expect to receive billions of hryvnias from related areas, including the hotel and restaurant business.
