Ukrainian player won $ 288,000 in the WSOP Circuit tournament in Russia

Vadim Shlez from Kharkiv won the Main Event of the prestigious WSOP Circuit in Sochi and entered the top 10 successful players of Ukraine.

1699 participants registered for the event which lasted for five days. As a result, two representatives of Ukraine – Ruslan Mityaev and Vadim Shlez – reached to the final table.

As Vadim said after the victory, he was selected via an online satellite for $ 215. Immediately after winning the tournament in Sochi he went to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

By the way, Vadim has already one big success in the USA. In 2011, he won a major tournament in Atlantic City, earning more than $ 500,000 in first place. In total, taking into account the victory at the WSOP Circuit, Vadim has already won more than $ 1,000,000 in prize money in tournaments. Now he is among 10 most successful Ukrainian poker players.

At the same time, Vadka (Vadim’s nickname in poker community) always plays local tournaments in Ukraine. For example, recently he became the winner of one of the tournaments in Kharkiv, which was sponsored by PokerMatch.
