Kiev National Police, which conducts an investigation into illegal operation of online casino Azino777, reported that the main suspect is Albert Veliyammetov, a resident of Russian city Naberezhnye Chelny.
“The suspect registered the Royal Game company in 2014,” the investigating authorities say. Relatives and acquaintances refuse to talk about Albert. The young man deleted his profiles from social networks in 2017.
According to the laws in Russia, where casino is also popular, the operation of an illegal online casino may entail six years of imprisonment. Ukrainian laws are more loyal and suggest a fine of 25 million hryvnias (1 million USD). Therefore, according to mass media, Valiakhmetov’s accounts were opened in Ukrainian banks.
Despite the ban on gambling in Russia, the turnover of the illegal online casino market in the country amounts to 15 billion rubles, and the total industry turnover is 73 billion rubles.
Azino777 has long been blacklisted by Roskomnadzor. However, online casino creates “mirrors” and uses other servers.
