Russian Roskomnadzor fines Google for displaying illegal content

The Russian telecom regulation body (Roskomnadzor) fined Google for not removing all links containing illegal content from the search results, including websites offering and advertising illegal gambling services. The amount of file is 700 thousand rubles

Representatives of Roskomnadzor noted that Google failed to delete more than 30% of links to illegal resources after the previous violation.

The list of sites that should not appear in the search is maintained by Roskomnadzor. The task of the Internet providers is to regularly review this registry and immediately delete the web pages that go there. This list includes sites with illegal online casinos or advertisements of similar services. The list of prohibited content also includes extremism, suicide propaganda, advertising of narcotic substances, etc.
