Fortuna Zakłady Bukmacherskie signed a new three-year contract with Legia Warszawa and at least until the end of the season in 2022, it will be the main sponsor of the Polish Champion. The value of the new contract is more than 20 percent higher than the current one, and additionally assumes closer, partnership cooperation in the field of marketing activities.
Fortuna has been the main sponsor of Legia Warszawa since 2014 and although its current contract expires at the end of the 2018/2019 season, it has already been decided to continue and develop the existing cooperation. The value of the new contract will be more than 20% higher annually, from the current one and assumes, among others, creating a common marketing budget.
Legia is undoubtedly the most popular football team in Poland, with fans all over the country, which is why it is a natural step for us to reach them through a strong sponsorship relationship with the Warsaw club. Our marketing strategy assumes supporting Polish football, which results in the key place of Legia and Fortuna 1 League among sports organizations that we sponsor. The last years of cooperation between Fortuna and Legia were crowned by many joint successes of the club from the capital. I hope that this good streak will last, and the new agreement will support the Polish champions in further sport and organizational development.”

The period of cooperation between Legia and Fortuna falls on the best sports years in the history of the club from Łazienkowska, which also translates into the achieved media effects. According to the sponsorship effectiveness report prepared by Sponsoring Insight, in 2018 Legia Warszawa generated PLN 71 million for Fortuna in the form of advertising equivalent. At the same time, this value for all Legia’s sponsors amounted to PLN 180 million, and logos of Legia’s partners were exposed in total to 48,000 media coverage, including 19,000 television programs, nearly 3 thousand newspaper articles and 26 thousand online publications.
The new contract enters into force from the beginning of the 2019/2020 season and will last for three years – until the end of the 2021/2022 season.
