Kazakhstan considers creating new gambling zones

Kazakhstan prepares amendments to the law on gambling business. According to the lawmakers creation of three more gambling zones is planned: in Akbulak (Talgarsky district, Almaty region), in Khorgos (Panfilovsky district, Almaty region) and in Mangystau region.

It is worth noting that the amendments are still being developed by the parliament, therefore, the initial text of the draft law can be substantially improved and changed.

Alongside with the new gambling zones, the amendments provide for the creation of an electronic center for controlling bets, as well as a ban of virtual events betting. It is suggested allowing only bets of sports and horse racing.
