According to the official statement, the lower chamber of the Kazakh parliament will consider amendments to the law in the end of 2018. The amendments had to be approved or sent for revision in May of this year, but were postponed to November.
If the amendments are adopted, new casinos and one gambling zone may appear on the territory of Kazakhstan. It is mostly about the Almaty region. In addition, new casinos may appear in the south-west of the country.
According to preliminary data, investments in gambling can reach more than $ 1.5 billion. Recently it was informed that one of Kazakh casinos located in Kapshagai gambling zone was closed due to financial crisis caused by the growth of gambling tax rates.
