Poland - LOTTO brand is the official partner of the Polish Esport League

On the 27th of April, during a press conference at Game Jam Square, Olgierd Cieślik, President of Totalizator Sportowy Management Board - the owner of the LOTTO brand - and the organizers of the Polish Esport League announced the beginning of cooperation for the entire year 2019. This step in the implementation of the mission to support the development of Polish e-sport, in particular young talents.

The entry of Totalizator Sportowy and the LOTTO brand into the Polish Esport League as well as all other company initiatives related to Polish gaming are the best proof that we look at cooperation with the e-sport environment as a long-term action, bearing in mind the standards of safe and responsible entertainment. Our interest in the gaming market is, among other things, the effect of another dynamic phase of development that the company is undergoing recently. Nowadays, it is possible to play online in the most popular LOTTO games on the Polish market. We are the greatest patron of Polish sport, we also want to be perceived by players as the greatest patron of Polish e-sport
- said Olgierd Cieślik, President of Totalizator Sportowy Management Board.

Information about the support of the greatest patron of Polish sport was announced during Game Jam Square, an event organized by the Agency for Industrial Development and ARP Games, where the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was also present. During Game Jam Square, ARP Games representatives also announced the start of the 5th edition of the acceleration program for computer game developers, aimed at supporting promising creators.

This is my next meeting with the gaming industry and I am full of admiration for what creative programming teams are able to come up with. We are currently in the growth phase when it comes to the computer games industry. We try as a government to support in various possible ways such issues as gaming parties, e-sports, hackathons or events such as Game Jam Square. It’s a great way to promote culture and great Polish history. What was beautiful among the teams with whom I had to talk was interdisciplinary. In what would we outrun the west, if not in the gaming or e-sport industry, which in a beautiful way combines sport with relaxation, entertainment with culture, but also Poland with foreign countries. I am very grateful to all young people and enthusiasts that they are building a creative industry of the future
- said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

The LOTTO brand has become the titular partner of the Professional Division, and hence also one of the entities supporting the Polish Esport League. The cooperation was announced for the whole of 2019, during which two seasons of league matches will be played.

The cooperation between the owner of the LOTTO brand and the Polish Esport League is a great opportunity for all competitors of the Professional Division. The partnership will allow to organize games at an even higher level. Together with Totalizator Sportowy, we want to give young, talented e-sporters a chance to enter the electronic sports industry, and thanks to the cooperation, this goal will be much easier to achieve
- comments Lena Bortko, Product Manager of the Polish Esport League.

Totalizator Sportowy has been the biggest patron of Polish sport for many years. The company supports its development on several levels, including by transferring funds from subsidies to number games and cash lotteries. From 1994, it was over PLN 12 billion.

Already in February the LOTTO brand became a partner of all transmissions from tournaments organized by the ESL: ESL One, ESL Pro League and the March Intel Extreme Masters 2019.
