The Ministry of Finace Czech will introduce new gambling regulation

The Ministry of Finance, Gambling and Lottery Supervision Department 34, would like to invite you to a set of workshops that will introduce new legislation – Act no. 186/2016 Coll., On Gambling, and the Act no. 187/2016 Coll., On tax on gambling.

Each workshop will focus on specific topics that are listed below:

    Topics:
    1. Licensing procedure
    2. General conditions for gambling operators
    3. Forms and Annex applications
    4. Surety
    5. Gambling premises
    6. Legal ground for use of the premises intended for the gambling operation
  2. 1. 8. 2016 - Monday
    Topics:
    1. State supervision
    2. Existing and new gambling operation information systém
    3. Implementation of legal obligations of gambling operators
    4. Implementing legislations
  3. 4. 8. 2016 - Thursday
    Topics:
    1. General types of gambling
    2. Example of game plans
    3. Games beyond the game plan – bonuses, jackpots etc.
  4. 8. 8. 2016 – Monday
    Topics:
    1. Lottery
    2. Odds bet and totalisator game
    3. Technical game and bingo
    4. Live game
    5. Internet – online gaming
  5. 11. 8. 2016 - Thursday
    Topics:
    1. Taxes
    2. Self-restricting measures
    3. Time schedule
    4. Final debate

Time frame:
8:15 a.m. – Registration of participants – We kindly ask you to be on time.
9:00 a.m. – Beginning
4:00 p.m. – Expected end of workshop

Place: Ministry of Finance, Letenská St. 15, 118 01 Prague 1, room Nr. 116 B.

Participation: Workshops are intended primarily for the gambling operators. The room capacity is limited, therefore additional participants will not be accepted.

  • gambling operators – 2 persons / 1 operator
  • associations of gambling operators – 1 person
  • manufacturers of technical devices, through which gambling is operated – 1 person / 1 company
  • other interested parties (law offices etc.) – only in case of available capacity

Please note that seating capacity is limited for all workshops. Once the seating limit is reached, we will be unable to accept any further reservation requests and applicants will be placed on the waiting list.

  • The application shall specify the terms in which you are interested. Participant shall also mention the name and surname and the name of the company. Login for individual workshops is valid after confirmation sent via e-mail.
  • Deadline for registration for all workshops is 18. 7. 2016.

Additional information:

  • Translators from Czech to English language will be present.
  • We strongly encourage participants to send questions to Mrs. Petra Ďurovičová ([email protected]). The deadline for each term is 5 days before the date of the workshop.
  • Only questions received at least 5 days before the date of the relevant workshop will be addressed. Other questions might be discussed based on time capacity.
