The Government of Bulgaria has adopted amendments regulating the accreditation of gambling equipment testing laboratories. More refined requirements have been approved for the testing of the slot machines and gaming software, the press center of the Council of Ministers informs.
The Counsil assures that the proposed regulatory changes will not lead to an increase in the administrative burden on casinos. The aim was to improve the efficiency, clarity and speed of administrative services related to gambling equipment testing.
The amendment introduces a requirement for laboratories to follow the rules of Bulgaria’s regulator, the State Commission on Gambling (SCG). In this way, accredited laboratories will undoubtedly prove their competence in testing the gaming equipment and gaming software of all types of machines.
It is also expected that these changes will allow accredited laboratories providing more detailed and exact testing documents for gambling equipment in accordance with technical requirements adopted by the SCG.
