Some internet media report that Slovak banks have stopped working with all persons and companies which are related to the crypto currencies market lately.
Similar information was also published by the crypto-currency center Paralelna Polis. Mass closure of bank accounts of crypto-currency investors also occurred in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. Local banks still prefer not to comment on the situation and the reason for such measures.
Sources referenced by local media report that banks follow the instructions from regulators and the Bank of Slovakia. The Central Bank sent secret letters to all banks of the country with a demand to stop servicing accounts of crypto companies and individuals carrying out such activities.
The Bank of Slovakia also forced all financial institutions to keep this order secret. Anonymous sources report that bank employees who previously provided services for the customers related to crypto currency business do not have access to such information.
